Celebrating The Achievements Of Welsh People Through The Ages
We're starting out on a digital journey through time to discover, describe, and celebrate our Welsh heroines and heroes as well as their triumphant achievements.
But, you might be saying, ‘Wales? Triumphant?! Have we got the right country?’
Yes, indeed we have, although you’d never know that from much of the past and present coverage, despite there being an abundance of evidence that Wales and triumphs do indeed go together.
Some heroes are well known, many are not even in Wales, but we believe they all should be celebrated for what they've contributed to Wales - and often to the rest of the world as well - in the distant and recent past.
We present them as quick fire 3 minute WTVs (Wales Triumphant Videos) each featuring dozens of entertaining images - many AI generated - and quirky (although well researched and historically correct) facts.
Our plan - subject to financial and human resources - is to launch with a handful of WTVs, then launch one every week for the forseeable future - and we've already identified, researched, scripted and image sourced getting on for 50 of them, and have a list of an additional 50 candidates.
As we become more recognised, and have more viewers, we hope to get some of today's Welsh heroes to do the voiceovers for WTVs relevant to them, such as a footballer voicing Il Gigante Buono's story.
You'll find all of them here at the home of Wales Triumphant, but many more people will be able to view them on our dedicated YouTube channel (as well as on TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and X later).
So if you believe our Welsh heroes should be more celebrated, then do keep coming back for more WTVs - and spread the word!
